Beach Boys fará apresentações em Drive-In

Os artistas estadunidenses do Beach Boys irão fazer uma série de shows no formato de drive-in pela primeira vez em toda a carreira da banda. Segundo informações divulgadas pelo próprio grupo, a turnê irá começar no dia 28 de setembro em Greenville, e só será finalizada no ano que vem, no dia 18 de setembro, na cidade de Paso Robles, na Califórnia.

Em entrevista para a Rolling Stone, os musicistas disseram o quanto estavam animados com os novos concertos, que já estavam sendo marcados desde março, mas foram afetados pela pandemia. “Oh, isso vai acontecer. Provavelmente faremos cerca de 20 ou 30 (shows) juntos no ano que vem”, disse Al Jardine. A banda já estava com planos para um retorno de apresentações desde o ano passado.

Os espetáculos serão parte da comemoração dos 60 anos do grupo, que está na ativa desde 1961. Por conta de desavenças entre os membros, o Beach Boys se dividiu em duas formações: Uma liderada por Mike Love, e que tem a licença oficial do nome da banda, e a outra tem Brian Wilson a frente. Os planos sugerem que haja uma reunião de todos os integrantes para esses novos shows.
