Filha de Will Smith, Willow Smith, de apenas 21 anos, anunciou que lançará um novo álbum, intitulado ‘COPINGMECHANISM’. Sucessor de “Lately I Feel Everything”, ele tem data de estreia prevista para o próximo mês, dia 23 de setembro.
Na última quarta-feira (3), a artista postou em seu Instagram anunciando seu novo disco. Nele, Willow também divulgou a chegada de seu novo single, “Hover Like a Goddess”, hoje (4).

Lately I Feel Everything
É o quarto álbum solo de estúdio da cantora norte-americana, e foi lançado no dia 16 de julho de 2021. Com participações especiais de e Travis Barker, Avril Lavigne, Tierra Whack, Cherry Glazerr e Ayla Tesler-Mabe.
O álbum gerou três singles, " Transparent Soul ", "Lipstick" e "Gaslight", o primeiro dos quais entrou no top 40 no Reino Unido, Irlanda e Nova Zelândia, bem como se tornou a primeira entrada de Willow na Billboard Hot 100 em uma década.

Em uma revisão de quatro estrelas do álbum, a NME elogiou a capacidade de Smith de mudar de "estrela consciente do R&B para punk, punk sujo", dizendo que ela "tirou todas as dúvidas do parque - novamente".
Desde o lançamento, Smith tem se concentrado principalmente em projetos colaborativos. Em fevereiro, ela se juntou a Machine Gun Kelly em ‘Emo Girl’, com a dupla tocando a música no The Late Late Show.
No mês de abril, Willow fez mais um feat de sucesso com a cantora Siiickbrain, para a música “Purge”, lançando também um vídeo autodirigido para o clipe oficial da faixa. Além disso, o mês foi ainda mais movimentado com a sua aparição no álbum ‘Familia’ de Camila Cabello, fornecendo vocais na música ‘Psychofreak’.
Em junho, Smith compartilhou um novo single, 'Maybe I’ts My Fault' , combinando os elementos pop-punk que ela introduziu em seu último álbum com influências mais pesadas de metalcore.
